ONE Championship releases video tribute to Victoria Lee, set to air during Fight Night 6 event in Ba

ONE Championship has released a video tribute to Victoria Lee, who died aged 18 on December 26.

The two-minute video is set to air during Saturday morning’s ONE Fight Night 6 event in Bangkok, Thailand, which will broadcast on networks all over the world, including Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service in the United States.

It will also play on screens inside the host Impact Arena.

Lee, whose cause of death has not been made public, went 3-0 in ONE.

She made her professional MMA debut with the promotion in February 2021, defeating Thailand’s Sunisa Srisen by submission with a rear-naked choke just over a minute into the second round.

Her second fight occurred in July 2021, when she posted another submission, defeating China’s Wang Luping with an armbar in less than four minutes.

She made her third walk to the ONE Circle only two months later, defeating Victoria Souza of Brazil by first-round TKO.

“The Prodigy” was the younger sister of ONE Championship title-holders Angela and Christian Lee.

Angela, 26, is the long-reigning champion at atomweight – the division Victoria called home – while Christian, 24, is now the champion at both welterweight and lightweight.

Both champions heavily feature heavily in ONE’s tribute to Victoria.

Chatri in tears as Victoria Lee’s death casts sombre note in Bangkok

“I’m so excited for your upcoming match,” Christian can be heard telling his younger sister over the phone ahead of one of her fights. “I’ve seen how hard you’ve worked for this moment and you deserve this win more than anybody else.”

“I’m so proud of you and all the work you’ve been putting in,” Angela said later in the video.

There has been an outpouring of support for the Lee family since Victoria’s death.

That trend continued in the social media reactions to ONE’s video tribute, as ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong and several high profile fighters took a moment to share their thoughts.

“Victoria, I will always remember you for the beautiful and precious soul you were,” Chatri wrote. “My team and I will do our best forever to honour your legacy of love, kindness, authenticity, and selflessness.”

Lee had been slated to meet India’s Zeba Bano at Saturday’s event in Bangkok.
